The Auction Process
Unfortunately, when a tenant fails to make the required rent payments, access to the unit is restricted until the balance is paid via cash or certified funds. A public sale notice will be sent to the delinquent tenant after the 2nd month becomes due. If the tenant fails to pay the lien stated in the notice by the deadline given, also in the notice, the contents will be considered to have been unjustifiably abandoned and either the contents will be disposed of or the auction process will move forward per the Michigan Law (MCL 570.523-570.525). Inventory of the abandoned contents will be placed on Bid13.com via video with the auction date. (Please note to review all the terms of the auction prior to bidding.)
